When Jerry was 4 years old, his family moved and Jerry found the move very traumatic.
He got plumb wore out. (please - no emails about my grammar - it's a story
from a 4 yr old's point of view!)
During the move they went out to a family restaurant for dinner. They sat there in silence
waiting for their food, too tired to carry on a conversation.
Suddenly, Jerry leaned sideways and lay down with his head in Dad's lap.
Mom looked at Dad, as though he had instigated this, and asked him what he had said to
Jerry.
"Nothing, hon," Dad replied, astonished at this accusation.
Next, she turned to Jerry.
"Jerry," mom said, "What are you doing?".
"Well, Mommy," Jerry replied, "This is a restaurant and I'm resting!"
